Iran film ‘Aba Jan’ to hit US big screen

Iranian film ‘Aba Jan’ directed by Hatef Alimardani is to be screened in the Texan city of Plano in the US.

Following Texas, ‘Aba Jan’ will be heading to other parts of the US such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Huston, San Diego, Boston and Chicago.

The film takes place in the 1980s when Iranians were busy welcoming the Islamic Revolution, while facing the Iraqi-imposed war on the country.

‘Aba Jan’ director Alimardani has told ifilm in an exclusive interview that “Aba Jan is not a film about the Sacred Defense. It narrates a part of history, a turning point in history that had effects on everyone’s lives.”

The film nominated for Best Visual Effects Crystal Simorgh features actors such as Fatemeh Motamed-Aria, Hamid Reza Azarang, Saeed Aghakhani and Mohammad Reza Ghaffari.
